Life update.

I moved out of my parents house for the final time. It is weird to say that. But in a good way. There is a time in all of our lives when we spread our wings and fly out of the nest for the last time. Of course I will go and visit, but I feel relieved to be on my own at last.

I started working at a new job. Front desk at a hotel. I wouldn't say that it is the most glamorous job. It does have its perks though. I like interacting with people. I just hope that I learn everything soon enough so that I will survive doing it on my own. I know that I am smart and capable.

There was a super cute lady at work today. She reminded me of Grandma Dotsy from Florence, MS. This woman had a bag a potato chips that s fellow traveler had given her. She was flying out that day, so she didn't want to carry them with her. So she came up and gave them to me. She told me to hide them in the back and to, "praise the Lord!" She was so sweet, I wish there wore more people like her in the world.

Madisyn and I are living together once again. I have no idea how I convinced her to live with me again. She is such a better person than I am. So kind and pure. And than there is me. Awkward Aubree. It is a challenge because we have very different schedules, so we don't see each other often. I will go hang out with her at her sod office before I have work. She's usually busy there though. So I just hang out and chill there.

I think that's all I have to say today. Life is good. I am well.

I was recently talking with a dear friend. I asked her for ideas on what I should write about. After a short discussion she suggested that I write about my summer goals. That got me thinking because I haven't given summer goals much thought.

I suppose that it would be a good thing if you knew what my summer kinda looked like. This summer is a little unique because I moved out of my parents. I mean I've been out of the house for school and my mission. However, this is my first summer away.

I decided to move for a lot of reasons. Mostly so I could earn enough money for school. I also wanted a change in my life. So moving out and on seemed like the best option. I have two jobs currently; one full-time and another part-time. I guess you could say that I am a busy girl. I like it that way.

Now that I have had some time to think, I've come up with a few goals that I would like to accomplish.

1- Teach myself the basics of Staistics
2- Do free things with Madi that are fun (like the temple)
3- Become better friends with my older brother
4- Go to bed before 3 AM every day
5- Read four good books
6- Listen to a podcast a day
7- Learn how to navigate around Provo without a GPS
8- Make new friends
9- Make my bed erry day

I know that some of these goals may seem a little silly. However, if we aren't reaching for something than we aren't growing. I am facing quite a few new things with this move (mostly the abundance of stoplights). It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
